During this session, young Swiss polar scientists from different disciplines will present and exchange on their research and recent field campaigns in polar and high-altitude regions. They will underline thematic variety of research conducted in polar regions, including the Third Pole, and highlight how their research contributes to a better understanding of the global climate questions and processes.

Speaker: Amy Macfarlane (PhD student at the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research Institute SLF), Gerald Raab (Postdoctoral researcher at the Dalhousie University, in Canada), Armin Sigmund (PhD student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL)) and Julie Lattaud (Postdoctoral researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ)).
